♥ Sally Hansen Haul ♥

So I bought these stuff quite a while ago but I’ve only had the chance to post them here now.

Sally Hansen Haul

Sally Hansen Haul

Priceline had a promotion for Sally Hansen products a while ago where if you spent $20, you can get a bonus package which was worth over $53.30 RRP. I am a sucker for nail polishes especially Sally Hansen stuff and I was in need of a new top coat since my old one have become really gooey even when I try to mix in some nail polish thinner. It’s lasted me over a year so I’m happy to buy a new one.

So here’s what I really bought:

Problem Cuticle Remover and Fuzzy Coat in "Wool Lite"

Problem Cuticle Remover and Fuzzy Coat in “Wool Lite”

I really wanted to try these two products as they intrigued me. I have heard really good things about the cuticle cream and fuzzy coat, well, I’m just a sucker for nail polishes and I really wanted to try this new concept.

The Fuzzy Coat in Wool Lite definitely creates a very unique texture! I think you’d either love it or hate it. I’m not sure how I feel about the other colours in this line though. Not really my cup of tea. The formula, like all the other Sally Hansen nail polishes, I really love!

So I spent about $20 on both of those together and so I was eligible for the gift pack:

Bonus Gift Pack

Bonus Gift Pack

  • Everyday Strength Nail Board
  • Nail Growth Miracle Salon Strength Treatment
  • Complete Salon Manicure
  • Mega Shine Extended Wear Top Coat

I have yet to try them except for the complete salon manicure in “Get Juiced” which is a bright pink/peach colour and the Mega Shine Extended Wear Top Coat which was my now-gooey top coat I mentioned before. So far, Mega Shine is my favourite top coat.

“Get Juiced” is a very happy colour, perfect for spring. The formula though is TO DIE FOR. If they weren’t priced so high (RRP AUD$14.95), I’d stick to this line for the rest of my life. Maybe.

Next I want to try the Sally Hansen Insta-Dry line. I already have the speed dry drops from the line but I really want to try the base and top coats!

Have you tried any of the products mentioned above?

Lots of Smiles,

Sita

My Crazy Week and a Half!

So, I kind of almost died… Well, not literally. I just had a really crazy week and half! So glad to finally be able to sit in my bed with my blanket and write this blog post and my mid-semester break is just around the corner.

Anyway, I wanted to write about the crazy week since it’s been A LONG WHILE since my last crazy week. This may be boring to you so I give you permission to stop reading right here. Though check back soon as I have a few posts coming!

It started off with my volunteering shifts for the Perth Fashion Festival (PFF)on one Monday morning where our task was to make 800+ gift bags for some of the shows. Although, I could only stay for a couple of hours. I met with some very nice people that day. For me, meeting new people is my favourite bit about volunteering.

Tuesday I was doing some of my homework/assessment preparation for my Fashion unit at uni.

Wednesday I was at uni from 10am until about 5pm going to classes, workshops and consultations.

Thursday I had a class in the morning until 1pm and then I did some more stuff for my fashion unit as well as a little bit for my publication unit.

Friday was when the free shows for PFF started at one of their venues called “Fashion Central” in the CBD (Forrest Chase). So I wanted to come by and attend a few shows (oh an raid some free gift bags!). I also know someone who was one of the designers for one of the catwalks too! While I was waiting for the first show, I actually conversed with someone next to me and got to know a little bit about her. If you know me, this will be surprising to you! But hey, I’m trying to get myself out there more and be less shy.

The atmosphere inside Fashion Central during the Banshu Runway!

Saturday was my first shift at PFF’s Fashion Central. Not knowing what to expect, I turned up semi-made-up (y’know, I figured since it’s fashion week and I was one of the front of house people). It turns out that we had to clean the floor too. Clearly, skirt and tights wasn’t such a great idea. I had fun nonetheless and I joined my parents for lunch and a bit of a stroll around town.

Samantha Jade (2012 XFactor) Being Interviewed

Sunday was hectic. I had a models and photographers event in the morning followed by another shift at PFF in the afternoon which was supposed to end at 9pm. Luckily the shift ended 3 hours early – this made my train ride home WAY less scary than it would’ve been at 9pm. On top of that, I saw so many famous people including a radio presenter, TV-Show hosts, news reporters, Samantha Jade (2012 X-Factor) as well as Samantha Harris (Australian Model).

The Famous People!!!

Monday I had my last shift for PFF but this time, it was at Frasers Restaurant. A few misunderstandings happened in the morning which resulted in me running and rushing. I don’t think it was anyone’s fault – everyone was just simply overwhelmed by this stage. I then continued on to campus for my usual classes which ended at 8.30pm. It was a 12 hour day and boy, I feel old.

Samantha Jade Singing

Tuesday I worked in the darkroom for half of the day and then I went home and finished my preparation for my fashion unit assessment the next day. After that’s done, I did some more of my publication assessment project which was due the day after the fashion assessment was due. Slowly but surely, things were happening.

Samantha Harris!

Wednesday morning I frantically tried to do as much of my publication assessment project as possible – panic mode on as I still had a long way to go. I went and saw my photography lecturer to talk about the photography assessment (due on Friday) and went home early after my fashion assessment to finish this off too.

Winner of 2013 Chic Model Search

Thursday I had the publication class in the morning. As I was pretty much done with my photography assessment (only had to do minor editing which I predicted that I need about 30 minutes maximum to complete), I joined my parents for some lunch and a stroll at the mall. I was glad for this for they have bubble tea at the mall and bubble tea always makes my day.

By Friday I was wrecked. Luckily photography class ended a lot earlier than it supposed to. I went home and then continued to go to the city with my parents (I go out with my parents a lot huh…). I procrastinated and did recreational things for the rest of the day!

Cirque Du Soleil Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour at Perth Arena!

Saturday was Cirque Du Soleil day! Michael Jackson the Immortal World Tour was amazing! Though I’m not sure how much of it was actually circus or Michael Jackson. Anyway, I might do a separate review of this soon. I also went to the markets with my parents and bought 6 bunches of Kale (among other things) to make Kale Chips!

Sunday I had a billion things on my task list – I ended up drying apples, making kale chips, doing a bit of my tutorial work, packed stuff, thrown stuff, just a bunch of housekeeping, necessary stuff. Oh and then it stormed at night…

Because of the storm, I woke up today (Monday) without internet and a chunk of my roof hanging off the side. Scary. But I had to also finish off my tutorial notes. I juggled sorting out the internet, using the internet from my phone to do my tutorial work, a few house chores and to top off the madness, I had classes for 3.5 hours.

That brings me to right now. Sitting in my bed with my laptop and a movie waiting for me to watch and absolutely no classes tomorrow. A very much awaited “me” time. *deep breaths*

Anyway keep an eye out for my Photography blog tomorrow as I am hoping to post something there in the morning!

I hope you had an awesome week and an even better one ahead!

Lots of smiles,

My Favourite Korean Dramas Thus Far

I think Korean fever started in Indonesia when I was about 9 years old. That’s what I remember anyway. The first drama series I remember watching from start to finish was Endless Love‘s Autumn in My Heart – a really sad drama, I only remember that it’s about a girl that was accidentally swapped at the hospital and that everyone who I watched with bawled their eyes out from start to finish. It was from this drama that my slight obsession for a certain actor (Won Bin) started. Though it didn’t last for very long.

As I grew up I discovered the romantic-comedy genre. Though it’s really cheesy and predictable most of the time, it never fails to entertain me.

Full House Take 2

Full House Take 2

Full House Take 2

A rather hilarious love triangle – cheesy and predictable but it entertained me nonetheless. It’s a light entertainment and just enjoyable in general – though I don’t fancy the main male character’s appearance much.

Personal Taste

Personal Taste

Personal Taste

A story about an architect and a furniture designer with quite horrible beginnings. Both surrounded by despicable people and things don’t seem to go their way at the start. Another romantic comedy – definitely a light, heartwarming series! Plus, I fancy this series’ main male character way more than Full House Take 2’s.

Princess Hours (Goong)

Princess Hours (Goong)

Goong (Princess Hours)

My 2nd Korean star love was from this drama. Kim Jeong Hoon. But, what I love about this drama is the story. I’ve watched this drama way too many times and there are so many things I want to tell you but I probably shouldn’t because you must must must watch this drama. It’s a romantic comedy though it’s light on the comedy and heavy on the romance. It’s set in a Korean Palace but the modern kind – not the kind where they seem to always be at war.

To The Beautiful You

To The Beautiful You

To The Beautiful You (Japanese: Hanazakari no kimitachi he (Hana-Kimi), Taiwanese: 花樣少年少女 Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nu)

Though I much prefer the Japanese version, the Korean version is also enjoyable. I started watching this not too long ago without knowing that this is the Korean version of Hana Kimi but I knew straight away when I started episode 1. That unmistakeable beginning: girl disguised as guy because she thinks it’s all her fault that a high-jump gold medalist got injured and therefore is unable to continue the sport and she wants to see him jump again.

Full House

Full House

All time favourite: FULL HOUSE

I watched this NOT because of rain. My cousins and I just decided to watch this one day and stuck with it to the end. It’s hilarious and it’s definitely some parts which makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It’s the typical bad-guy-turned-good-because-of-an-ordinary-woman type story. I’ve watched this drama probably about 5 times from start to finish and I would so watch it all over again.

Innocent Man

Innocent Man

Currently Watching: Innocent Man (Nice Guy)

The story is so twisted! I started watching this because of the actors Song Joong Ki and Lee Kwang Soo (who I adore from the korean variety show Running Man) and actress Park Si Yeon (From Family Outing season 1). This drama is definitely not a romantic comedy – it’s a melodrama. A heart-wrenching one at that. But hey, it still sucks me in and I want to watch till the end. I have been told that the story is very twisted.

Anyone else love watching Korean Dramas?

A Precious.S2 Photography and Rose Gold Whimsy Collaboration

As some of you may know, I also post my photography on another blog called Precious.S2 Photography. Recently, my highschool friend Cindy and I decided to do a collaboration since we both own a blog. I take the photos, she becomes my model.

It was a fine sunny afternoon and I have to thank her and lil sis for making this shoot happen.

I value friendship and photography and both of this are present in this collaboration. I said that this blog was going to publish things that makes me happy. So here it is! April Fools Pranks!

April Fools

I am sure you are familiar with April Fools and what it is. If you’re not, click on the hyperlink!

Okay so I am not a fan of the kinds of jokes which involves people’s health and lives being in danger. You know, like calling your friend saying your other friend is in the hospital with a serious illness, or when you come to school with a cast and said that you have a broken bone, or anything like that that would make people worry a lot. They’re not funny at all to me.

So I decided to post up some of the cute and funny pranks or jokes I found on the internet.

  1. 10 April Fools Day Pranks for Kids – I know it’s for kids but some can apply to older people too!
  2. Googly Fridge
  3. To make all your friends hate you – This one is awesome! Zip-tight-ing a pair of scissors?! Paint a soap bar so they won’t ever lather? lol. Genius.
  4. Noisy Balloons and Milk that changes colour – haha that would be so startling in the morning even as an adult.
  5. 19 April Fools Pranks you can easily do yourself – okay, some of these were repeated but still I found it to be a good list!

Okay! So I didn’t get to prank anyone today. *sigh* It will forever be my dream to prank someone real good and have them crack up.

Lots of Smiles,

Sita

Hello World!

redBalloon

How are you today?

This is my first post on this blog and I suppose I should let you know why I created this blog. I want to basically share some of the things that makes me happy which usually involves DIYs, hauls (a.k.a. bargains), cute things, visits to places, etc. Why you ask? Well, I made it a resolution this year that I will be happy.

This year happens to be my first year in the big bad world. I recently graduated from university (I’m a bachelor! Yay!) at the end of last year and well, there are more things that upsets me that I would like. But I believe that happiness is a way of thinking – a point of view. So I figured this blog would be my way of reminding myself to think happy thoughts. Also by blogging, there’s the added bonus of documenting parts of my life and to give me motivation to actually FINISH my DIYs (yes, I am one of those people who a lot of the time don’t finish my DIY projects).

I suppose I should now let you know a little bit about me. I am a tiny 20 year old Asian girl whose two (WAY) younger sisters have surpassed my height (I don’t like to discuss by how much). I am an Indonesian born Chinese and I am now living in Australia. English is definitely not my first language (sorry for the mistakes, I’m still trying to improve!). I used to dance (a lot) and I had to stop (twice) due to injuries. Since then, I picked up a camera instead and fell in love with the world of photography (please visit my photography blog! –> Precious.S2 Photography). I have a “baby” in the form of a DSLR camera and I protect it with my life (seriously, I don’t let 99.9% of the people touch it). I love watching make-up, hair, fashion and DIY videos on youtube but hardly ever put on make-up myself or pay much attention to my hair or fashion. Unfortunately, unlike a lot of bloggers, I am NOT a foodie. I eat to live, not live to eat. However, if I skip a meal I will turn into a monster and eat you. Also, according to the people around me, I have more than a slight obsession with vampires.

Anyway I should stop here and please subscribe for a Sprinkle O’Rainbow!

Lots of Smiles,

-Sita
